As with any type of sales, you need good leads to be successful. It takes just as much time prospecting insurance leads as it does writing applications and following up with your clients. It’s all about reaching the people who need or want what you have to offer and convincing them to make their purchases through you. You can use print media for generating leads and connect with many people at a time.
Direct Appeal Mailings
You can reach potential clients and receive fresh leads by sending out mass mailings to homeowners in your region. You can purchase a list based on specified criteria and mail to as many people as you choose. It can consist of a simple postcard containing your contact information or an envelope containing a formal letter introducing yourself.
You could even insert a survey that will get homeowners thinking about mortgage insurance. You can offer to answer their questions and give them the choice of times in which it would be best for you to come and make your presentation.
Newsletters
Many home associations and block clubs offer newsletters to their residents as a means of sharing information amongst each other. You could place ads in these publications and get the endorsement from any client of yours that resides in the area. You can offer to present the benefits of life prospecting insurance leads to their residents at the next association or block club meeting while everyone is there at the same time.
Your clients may even be willing to talk about the coverage they chose and why they opted to get it as well as share how you helped them through the process. You could potentially have appointments booked for an entire week after placing your ad in one of these newsletters or making your presentation at their meeting.
